Why are wooden toys special?

Do wooden toys last longer than plastic toys?
It depends on the quality in both cases. But toys that can be taken apart and put back together, and that have no electronics that can break, have fewer things that can go wrong.
What are Crateit toys made of?
Wood fibre, more precisely MDF. It comes unpainted, so the child decides the colours and can repaint later. It is designed in Odense and produced in sheltered Danish workshops.
