Crateit began as a school project.
Tonny og Martin var elever sammen. De havde en idé om legetøj der både skulle stimulere børns kognitive udvikling og samtidig give meningsfuld beskæftigelse til mennesker med særlige behov.

First manufacturer
Odense Værkstederne becomes the first sheltered workshop to make wooden toys for Crateit.
September 2022
Licensing partnership with the Hans Christian Andersen House
Crateit is granted the right to bring Hans Christian Andersen’s tales to life through our products.
October 2022
First investment
Crateit becomes part of Danish Design Invest. An important step on the growth journey.
November 2022
First television appearance
Martin talks about the partnership with the Hans Christian Andersen House and Odense Værksteder on TV2 Fyn.
November 2022
Winner of the Odin Concept Award
Crateit wins the prestigious Odin Concept Award for innovative design and a sustainable approach.
December 2022
Samarbejde med Bog & Idé
An agreement with Denmark’s largest bookshop chain. Crateit products are now on the shelf.
January 2023
The Formland fair
Crateit’s first trade fair ever. We travel to Herning and present the products.
January 2024
Spielwarenmesse
We take part in the world’s largest toy fair in Nuremberg, Germany. A big step internationally.
August 2024
New premises
The dream of more space comes true. We move from Odense C to larger premises in Odense M.
August 2024
Officially in 15 markets
With the launch in Switzerland, Crateit is now available in 15 markets worldwide.
November 2024
Launch of Crateit Town
Our largest range ever, a whole town in wood. Police stations, fire stations and roads that build together.
