What we're most often asked about Roomies.
Can the rooms be combined?
Yes, that's the whole point of Roomies. Each set contains two rooms that can be stacked, placed side by side, or combined with other Roomies sets. The more rooms you have, the more ways the house can be built.
Do I need to assemble them myself?
The rooms assemble without glue or tools. The pieces click together, and most parents finish in 20-30 minutes per set. It's a cozy task to do together with your child.
Can we color the houses?
Yes. Roomies is made from the same MDF as our other wooden toys, and you can color them with our Crateit markers. The pigment lays down in layers, so you can update patterns, change themes or repaint completely as often as you like.
Which set should I start with?
Couch & Crayons (living room and playroom) is the most classic starting point - that's where most of the play happens. If you want variety, pick one large set and one small, so you have 4 different rooms to play with from the start.
Does Roomies fit with other Crateit universes?
Yes. Roomies can be combined with Crateit Town so the dollhouse becomes part of a whole city. Quest's dinosaurs can move into the living room, and Stella's unicorns can play on the balcony - the children build the stories themselves across the universes.

All modules are produced in Denmark at sheltered workshops, where adults with special needs assemble and pack the products. That means every set carries a story of craftsmanship and community.

All our MDF is CARB Phase 2 certified - the world's strictest standard for formaldehyde emissions in composite wood. That means the binder in the wood off-gasses as little as possible. Important for a toy that sits in the children's room every day.
